ASI 3574 Horizontal Grab Bar, 18-1/8 x 33-1/8 Inches
This smooth horizontal grab bar has 1-1/2-inch O.D., 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish. The exposed flanges are 3 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, with three drilled, countersunk holes per flange. Mounting screws are not provided; ASI specifies #10 self-tapping flat- or oval-head screws, or 1/4-inch pan-head screws.
ASI's installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards specifies positioning the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing for the wall conditions.
