ASI 3401-18P 18-Inch Peened Grab Bar
This straight grab bar has a 1-1/4-inch outside-diameter type 304 stainless steel tube with a peened, non-slip surface and satin-finished exposed surfaces. The 18-inch bar uses 3-inch-diameter, 1/8-inch-thick flanges for exposed mounting.
Mounting requirements
Each flange has three countersunk holes. Mounting screws are not provided; the manufacturer specifies suitable screws or another fastener system selected for the wall conditions. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing before wall finishing. ASI advises installing the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor for guidance related to the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards; installation and anchorage must be evaluated for the specific project.
