ASI 128-1 Book Shelf and Clothes Hook Strip
This front-mount unit combines an 18" W x 8" D bookshelf with four security clothes hooks. The back plate and shelf are 14-gauge type 304 stainless steel alloy 18-8 with a satin finish; triangular sidewalls serve as bookends. Each hook is one-piece 3/8" solid bar with a 1" swivel trip-ball.
The hooks snap down when a load exceeds 35 lb (16 kg), and the trip-ball socket housing prevents a hook from being set in the vertical-up position. Six clear mounting holes accept the supplied 1/4"-20 x 2" (M6 x 51 mm) stainless steel pin-Torx® button-head machine screws. Wall anchors are by others.
Mounting guidance
Surface-mount the unit to the finished wall. The manufacturer advises installing it with the shelf no more than 48" maximum above finished floor (AFF) for compliance with 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards; this is manufacturer guidance, not a blanket compliance determination.
