ASI 8338 Surface-Mounted Medicine Cabinet, Enameled Steel
The ASI 8338 is a surface-mounted medicine cabinet with a mirrored door, two fixed shelves, and a magnetic catch. Its cabinet is cold-rolled steel with a white baked-enamel finish; the mirror is 1/4" (6 mm) plate glass.
Features and dimensions
- Overall dimensions: 14-1/8" (359 mm) W x 20-3/16" (513 mm) H x 5" (125 mm) D.
- Stainless steel channel-framed mirrored door with a continuous piano hinge.
- Two fixed white enamel steel shelves; shelves are not adjustable.
- Magnetic catch holds the door shut. Pull the door to access contents and push it closed to engage the catch.
Installation guidance
Install on the wall using four #10 pan-head self-threading screws (by others) through the mounting holes in the cabinet back. For general utility, ASI recommends positioning the bottom of the cabinet 46" (1,168 mm) above the finished floor or 12" (305 mm) above the wash basin. For its 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards installation guidance, ASI specifies a maximum height of 40" (1,016 mm) AFF to the bottom edge of the mirror.
