ASI 0952 Recessed Medicine Cabinet
This recessed cabinet measures 18-1/4 in. W x 24-1/4 in. H x 4-1/2 in. D overall. It requires a rough wall opening at least 16 in. W x 22-3/4 in. H x 3-1/2 in. D. The swing-door mirror frame is type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish; the 1/4 in. mirror is guaranteed for 15 years against silver spoilage.
Three removable stainless steel shelves can be repositioned among five embossed tracks on each side of the cabinet. Pull the door to access contents and push it shut manually; a magnetic catch holds it closed, and a full-length piano hinge supports the door.
Recess installation and placement
Fasten the cabinet through the concealed holes in its sides using four #10 pan-head self-threading screws (by others). For general utility, the manufacturer recommends placing the cabinet bottom 46 in. above the finished floor or 12 in. above the wash basin. Its 2010 ADA installation guidance calls for the bottom edge of the mirror to be no more than 40 in. above the finished floor; this guidance is not a blanket compliance guarantee. The reflecting surface's bottom edge is 3/4 in. below the rough wall opening.
