ASI 0953 Surface-Mounted Medicine Cabinet
This cabinet has a 20-gauge Type 304 stainless steel body with a satin finish and a 1/4-inch-thick glass mirror. The mirrored door is fitted with a full-length, heavy-duty stainless steel multi-staked piano hinge, two rubber door silencers and a magnetic catch. Behind it are three adjustable stainless steel shelves; shelf spacing adjusts using the cabinet’s embossed clip slots.
Overall dimensions are 18-1/4" W x 24-1/4" H x 4-3/4" D. The mirror is guaranteed for 15 years against silver spoilage.
Mounting and placement
Install on the wall using four #10 pan-head self-threading screws through the mounting holes in the cabinet back; screws are by others. Manufacturer guidance gives a general utility mounting position of 46" AFF to the cabinet bottom or 12" above the wash basin. For guidance intended to address the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, the manufacturer specifies installing with the mirror’s bottom edge no higher than 40" AFF; this is manufacturer guidance, not a guarantee of compliance.
