ASI 8208-L Left-Hand Folding Shower Seat
This surface-mounted, left-facing seat folds up when not in use. The seat and body are Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish; slotted stainless steel seat slats allow drainage. One-hand operation lowers the seat to horizontal for use or raises it for access and storage. A guide bracket with spring detent supports the seat in use and holds it in the raised position. The manufacturer identifies this model as ADA compliant.
When folded down, the seat measures 33" W x 17" to 19" H x 23" D. The manufacturer states a maximum support load of 500 lb when properly installed.
Installation
Plan for concealed anchor plate or blocking before finishing the wall. Fasten the seat flanges and guide bracket to the concealed support using appropriate hardware. The anchor plate or blocking and mounting hardware are not supplied; confirm the mounting configuration meets local building codes.
