ASI 3833-R Wall-to-Floor Grab Bar with Outrigger, Right Hand
The ASI 3833-R is a right-hand 30" x 33" wall-to-floor grab bar with an outrigger connection to the floor. It has smooth 1-1/2" O.D. Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish.
Model specifications
- Smooth 1-1/2" O.D. Type 304 stainless steel tubing; the 3800 Series specification lists 18-gauge tubing.
- Concealed mounting flange: 1/8" thick Type 304 stainless steel, 3-1/8" O.D., with two screw holes and three locking dimples.
- Satin-finish Type 304 stainless steel snap cover: 22 gauge and 3-3/16" in diameter.
Installation requirements
Plan for suitable wall backing and anchoring before finishing the wall. Fasteners and washers are by others. The floor connection requires a contractor-provided sleeve, 3" long, sized to accept the specified bar O.D. ASI's installation guidance for 2010 ADA positioning calls for the top of the grab bar to be 33" to 36" above finished floor. This is manufacturer guidance, not a blanket compliance determination.
