ASI 3801-36W White Powder-Coated 36-Inch Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-36W is a 36-inch grab bar with 1-1/2-inch-diameter Type 304 stainless steel tubing and a white epoxy powder-coated finish. Snap-on flange covers conceal the mounting hardware.
Specifications
- Bar: 36 inches long, 1-1/2-inch diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing.
- Finish: white epoxy powder coat on exposed surfaces.
- End flanges: 3-1/8 inches in diameter, welded to the tubing, with two 1/4-inch mounting holes on a 2-3/8-inch bolt circle.
- Snap-on covers have three locking tabs and conceal the flange mounting hardware.
- Wall projection: 1-1/2 inches.
Installation guidance
Use the grab bar as a template to mark and pre-drill mounting holes. Install with two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers (by others) per flange, or another fastener system suited to the conditions. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing in accordance with local building codes or project plans before finishing the wall. The manufacturer’s ADA installation guidance places the top of the grab bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. Mounting and fastener selection are critical to the installed system’s performance.
