ASI 3501-48 48-Inch Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3501-48 is a 48-inch straight grab bar for exposed-flange wall mounting, made from 1-1/2-inch-diameter, 18-gauge type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish. Each 3-inch-diameter flange is 1/8 inch thick and has three countersunk mounting holes.
Mounting and installation
- Mounting screws are not included. The manufacturer specifies three #10 self-tapping flat-head or oval-head screws, or another suitable fastener system, for each flange.
- Provide appropriate wall backing and anchoring for the installation conditions before wall finishing; fasteners must be adequately sized for the loads involved.
- For installation in accordance with the manufacturer's cited 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards guidance, position the top of the grab bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. This installation guidance does not by itself establish compliance for a complete installation.
