ASI 3457-P 54" x 42" Horizontal Grab Bar with Peened Surface
The ASI 3457-P is a 54" x 42" horizontal grab bar for exposed-flange mounting. Its 1-1/4" O.D. Type 304 stainless steel tube has the peened, non-slip surface option.
Specifications
- Bar: 1-1/4" outside diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel.
- Configuration: 54" x 42" horizontal grab bar.
- Surface and finish: peened surface; exposed surfaces have a satin finish.
- Mounting: exposed 3"-diameter, 1/8"-thick stainless steel flanges, each with three countersunk holes.
- Mounting screws are not provided.
Installation guidance
Provide appropriate anchors and wall backing for site conditions before finishing the wall. ASI notes that wall attachment is critical to the grab-bar system’s ability to withstand loading. For manufacturer guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, install with the top of the bar 33" minimum to 36" maximum above finished floor; confirm project-specific mounting and fastening requirements.
