ASI 3456 Horizontal Grab Bar, 54" x 36"
The ASI 3456 is a smooth, horizontal grab bar measuring 54" x 36". It has a 1-1/4" O.D., 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tube with a satin finish and exposed mounting flanges.
Specifications
- Each flange is 3" in diameter and 1/8" thick, with three countersunk mounting holes.
- Mounting screws are not provided. The holes accommodate #10 self-tapping flat-head or oval-head screws, or 1/4" pan-head screws; another suitable fastener system may be selected for the installation.
Mounting guidance
Use the bar to mark hole locations and pre-drill. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing for site conditions before finishing the wall; the manufacturer notes that wall mounting is critical to grab-bar performance. For installations following the manufacturer's 2010 ADA positioning guidance, place the top of the bar 33" to 36" above the finished floor (AFF); confirm project and local requirements.
