ASI 3451-25 Swing-Up Grab Bar with Integral Toilet Paper Holder
The ASI 3451-25 is a surface-mounted swing-up grab bar with an integral toilet tissue roll holder. Its smooth 1-1/4" O.D. Type 304 stainless steel bar has a satin finish; the 3" (76 mm) diameter, 1/8" (3 mm) thick exposed flange has drilled and countersunk mounting screw holes.
Operation and construction
- The grab bar is designed for one-hand operation and has a twin torsion-spring counterbalance.
- A gravity lock holds the bar upright and must be manually released to lower it. Raising the bar from horizontal requires no release; it locks automatically in the vertical storage position.
- A tamper-resistant set screw allows the owner to lock the bar in the vertical position.
Installation considerations
- Install concealed anchor plate or blocking before wall finishing. Concealed support and mounting hardware are not supplied; select appropriate hardware for the mounting substrate. ASI anchor plate 3940 is specified separately.
- ASI's installation guidance for adult use is to position the top of the horizontal bar 33"–36" (838–914 mm) above the finished floor. Confirm mounting and support requirements for the installation.
