ASI 1224-C18 Ceiling-Mounted Shower Rod Support
The ASI 1224-C18 is an 18-inch ceiling support for a 1-inch-diameter shower rod, made from satin-finish type 304 (18-8) stainless steel. Its heavy-wall sleeve has a stainless steel set screw to lock the rod in place. The shower rod and end flanges are not included.
Dimensions and installation
- 18-inch drop from the mounting surface to the rod sleeve centerline.
- 3-inch-diameter exposed flange, 1/8 inch thick, with three countersunk holes for 1/4-20 screws (supplied by others).
- 1-inch-diameter, 20-gauge support tube is welded to the flange and heavy-wall sleeve.
- Align the sleeve centerline with the rod-flange mounting height. Mount the flange to suitable blocking, shield anchors, or other appropriate ceiling preparation; these and the screws are by others.
- Insert the rod through the sleeve and secure it with the provided set screw.
When correctly installed with end flanges, the rod supports specified shower curtains. It may rotate by hand; significant body weight can cause the rod to bend or pull from the flanges.
