ASI 1224-36 Shower Curtain Rod with Concealed Mounting Flanges
The ASI 1224-36 is a 36-inch wall-mounted shower curtain rod for a straight span between two concealed mounting flanges. The rod is 1 inch in diameter and made of 18-8 type 304 stainless steel. One flange sleeve has a locking screw intended to prevent rod rotation.
Specifications and installation
- Rod length: 36 inches; diameter: 1 inch.
- Install the rod between two mounting flanges. Each mounting lug has two holes for #10 round- or pan-head screws; screws are furnished by others.
- For ASI 72-inch curtain models 1200 or 1200-V with standard hooks Model 1200-SHU, set the rod centerline at 74-1/2 inches above finished floor or 67 inches above the tub rim to provide 6 inches of bottom overlap.
- Rods longer than 72 inches require ceiling hanger Model 1224-C18; this 36-inch model does not require that hanger.
- Warranty: one year from date of invoice.
When installed properly, the rod is held captive by the flanges, though it may rotate if turned by hand. It supports shower curtains hung on hooks, not body weight; significant weight can bend the rod and pull it from the flanges.
