ASI 1224-18 18-Inch Shower Curtain Rod with Concealed Mounting Flanges
The ASI 1224-18 is an 18-inch wall-mounted shower curtain rod for installation between two concealed mounting flanges. Its locking sleeve includes a screw to help prevent the rod from rotating.
Specifications and installation
- 1-inch-diameter type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish; the flange surfaces also have a satin finish.
- Concealed flanges use a wall-mounting lug and locking sleeve; mounting lugs have two holes for #10 round- or pan-head screws, furnished by others.
- Install the rod in a straight section between the two flanges. Properly installed, the rod is held captive by the flanges.
- For a standard 72-inch ASI 1200 or 1200-V curtain with 1200-SHU hooks, the manufacturer recommends a rod centerline 74-1/2 inches above finished floor or 67 inches above the tub rim to provide 6 inches of bottom overlap.
- The rod supports specified shower curtains; significant body weight can cause it to bend and pull from the flanges.
