ASI 1224-60 Shower Curtain Rod with Concealed Mounting Flanges
The ASI 1224-60 is a 60-inch wall-mounted shower curtain rod for standard shower curtain installations. It has 1-inch-diameter alloy 18-8 Type 304 stainless steel tubing and concealed mounting flanges.
Specifications and installation
- Rod length: 60 inches; tubing diameter: 1 inch.
- The concealed flange hardware includes wall-mounting lugs and locking sleeves. One sleeve has a screw intended to prevent rod rotation.
- Each mounting lug has two holes for #10 round- or pan-head screws; screws are furnished by others.
- Install the rod in a straight section between two mounting flanges. For standard 72-inch ASI 1200 or 1200-V curtains with 1200-SHU hooks, ASI specifies a rod centerline 74-1/2 inches above finished floor or 67 inches above the tub rim to achieve 6 inches of bottom overlap.
- Rods longer than 72 inches require the 1224-C18 ceiling hanger; the 60-inch 1224-60 is shorter than that threshold.
Use and support limits
When installed properly, the rod is held captive by the flanges and supports specified shower curtains hung on 1200-SHU hooks or other hooks. The rod may rotate if turned by hand and will bend or pull from the flanges if significant body weight is suspended from it.
