ASI 1204-78 Shower Curtain Rod with Flanges
The ASI 1204-78 is a 78-inch wall-mounted shower curtain rod for a straight span between two mounting flanges. It has 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish. Because this rod is longer than 72 inches, the manufacturer specifies the ASI 1204-C ceiling hanger.
Specifications and installation
- Length: 78 inches; diameter: 1-1/4 inches.
- Material and finish: 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with exposed satin-finish surfaces.
- Install the rod in the straight section between two mounting flanges. For a 72-inch ASI 1200 or 1200-V curtain with standard 1200-SHU hooks, the specified rod centerline is 74-1/2 inches above finished floor (AFF), or 67 inches above the tub rim, to obtain 6 inches of bottom overlap.
- When properly installed, the flanges capture the rod; it may rotate if turned by hand. The rod supports shower curtains hung on 1200-SHU hooks or other hooks, but significant body weight can bend the rod and pull it from the flanges.
