ASI 0472-1 Dual-Access Partition-Mounted Sanitary Napkin Disposal
The ASI 0472-1 is a 1.5-gallon sanitary napkin disposal installed through a partition to serve two compartments. Self-closing doors on both sides provide deposit access; the removable waste receptacle is serviced from one side. The unit includes a tumbler lock.
Specifications and operation
- Capacity: 1.5 gal (5.7 L) of dry/solids waste.
- Construction: 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, alloy 18-8, with satin finish. The doors, flanges, waste receptacle, and cabinet are stainless steel.
- Overall dimensions: 13" W x 4" D x 17-1/4" H.
- Adjustable mounting flanges accommodate partitions 1/2" to 3" thick.
- Self-closing doors on each side are mounted to the cabinet with heavy-duty, full-length piano hinges. The doors operate independently and may be used simultaneously.
- To empty, remove the bottom waste container and invert it over a collection bag. The maintenance schedule determines the waste-removal cycle; the lock captures the container to prevent inadvertent dumping.
Partition installation
Plan for a prepared partition cutout measuring 11-3/8" W x 15-5/8" H. Install with four supplied #10 x 3/4" self-threading screws per side (eight total). For ADA accessibility and usability, the manufacturer specifies positioning the top of the disposal door 24" to 33" above the finished floor and the cutout centerline 27" from the rear wall.
