ASI 8340 Recessed Medicine Cabinet
This recessed cabinet has a one-piece, cold-rolled steel body with a white baked-enamel finish. The mirrored door uses 1/4" (6 mm) plate glass, a stainless steel channel frame, a continuous piano hinge, and a magnetic catch. Three removable white enamel steel shelves can be repositioned in any of five embossed tracks on each side of the cabinet.
Overall dimensions are 18-1/4" W x 24-1/4" H x 4-7/8" D. The minimum rough wall opening is 16" W x 22-3/4" H x 3-1/2" D. Check the recess dimensions before installation.
Installation and placement
Install in the wall recess with four No. 10 pan-head self-threading screws through the concealed holes in the cabinet sides; screws are supplied by others. For general utility mounting, the manufacturer specifies the bottom of the unit at 46" above finished floor or 12" above the washbasin. For its 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards guidance, the manufacturer specifies the bottom edge of the mirror no higher than 40" above finished floor; the reflecting surface begins 3/4" below the rough wall opening.
