Enclosed Safety Showers and Tempering Systems

Compare three Haws solutions built for different project needs: the 8605WC enclosed shower with eye/face wash, the 8780 indoor emergency-water tempering skid and the 8785 all-weather tempering booth. First determine whether the project needs the emergency fixture itself or a packaged system that supplies tempered water.

Booth Fixture or Tempered-Water System?

Choose the Haws 8605WC when the project needs an enclosed emergency shower and eye/face wash as the point-of-use fixture. The 8605WC is the enclosed shower booth; use its installation drawing to confirm connections, footprint, waste and access requirements.

Choose the Haws 8780 when indoor emergency fixtures need a packaged tempering skid. This is water-supply equipment, not a substitute for the shower or eyewash at the hazard. System selection depends on the connected fixture demand, piping run and whether multiple outlets may operate together.

Choose the Haws 8785 for an all-weather tempering-booth system where the water-conditioning equipment needs environmental protection. The enclosure still requires suitable electrical service, incoming water, distribution piping, freeze protection and connected-fixture capacity.

What to Have Ready Before Choosing a System

  • Number and type of showers, eyewashes or combination stations served
  • How many fixtures could operate simultaneously
  • Indoor versus outdoor installation and the lowest expected ambient temperature
  • Pipe length, diameter, material and distance to the farthest fixture
  • Available electrical service and space for maintenance access

If the project needs an ordinary point-of-use fixture, compare Emergency Showers or Eye and Face Wash Stations. For separate heating options, review Emergency Water Heaters.
