ASI 8206-SC-R Slow-Close Folding Shower Seat, Right Hand
The ASI 8206-SC-R is a right-hand, L-shaped, surface-mounted folding shower seat. It combines a solid phenolic seat with a satin-finish Type 304 stainless steel frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket. The seat has semi-gloss white laminate on both faces and black edges. ASI identifies this model as ADA compliant.
Specifications and operation
- Seat panel: 5/16 inch thick and 20 x 14-1/2 inches, with three slots for water drainage.
- Controlled movement: One-hand operation lowers the seat to its horizontal use position or raises it for storage. Gas struts control lowering and assist raising from approximately 25° to 85°, then provide additional assistance toward the fully stored position.
- Position support: A spring-detent guide bracket supports the seat in use and spring-locks it in the stored position.
- Orientation: Right-hand configuration. The phenolic seat only is field reversible.
- Capacity: Supports up to 500 lb when properly installed.
Mounting and fit
This unit is surface mounted. Provide concealed anchor plate or blocking before wall finishing as required by the construction documents or local building codes. Concealed plates or anchors and mounting hardware are not supplied and must be specified separately. Check the manufacturer drawing for the installed footprint and mounting locations before installation.
ASI lists a one-year warranty from the date of invoice.
