ASI 8206-SC-L Slow-Close Folding Shower Seat, Left Hand
The ASI 8206-SC-L is a left-hand, L-shaped, surface-mounted folding shower seat. Its solid phenolic seat has semi-gloss white laminate on both faces and black edges; the frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket are satin-finish Type 304 stainless steel. ASI identifies this model as ADA compliant.
Specifications and operation
- Seat panel: 5/16 inch thick and 20 x 14-1/2 inches, with three slots for water drainage.
- Controlled movement: One-hand operation lowers the seat to its horizontal use position or raises it for storage. Gas struts control lowering and assist raising from approximately 25° to 85°, with additional assistance toward the fully stored position.
- Position support: The spring-detent guide bracket supports the seat in its use position and spring-locks it when stored.
- Orientation: Left-hand configuration. The phenolic seat only is field reversible.
- Capacity: Supports up to 500 lb when properly installed.
Mounting and fit
This is a surface-mounted unit. Provide concealed anchor plate or blocking before finishing the wall, as required by the construction documents or local building codes. Concealed plates or anchors and mounting hardware are not supplied; specify appropriate hardware separately. Check the manufacturer drawing for the installed footprint and mounting locations before installation.
ASI lists a one-year warranty from the date of invoice.
