Installation guidance
Mount the plates through their provided holes using No. 10 self-tapping screws into suitable prepared wall mountings, or use other suitable mounting hardware for the wall conditions. Screws and mounting hardware are by others. Hang the post and flange assemblies on the plates with the bar captured, then tighten the set screws.
For general utility, ASI specifies the centerline of the mounting plates at 55 inches (1397 mm) above the finished floor. The manufacturer's accessibility guidance gives maximum towel-rod heights of 48 inches (1219 mm) above the finished floor for clear forward or side reach; 46 inches (1168 mm) for side reach over an obstruction with a reach depth greater than 10 inches and less than 25 inches; or 44 inches (1118 mm) for forward reach over an obstruction with a reach depth greater than 20 inches and less than 25 inches.
