ASI 3001-18 Concealed-Mount Grab Bar-Towel Bar
This 18-inch straight grab bar-towel bar has a 1-inch-diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel bar with a satin finish. Its flanges are heliarc-welded to the tubing with a continuous concealed bead. Each flange is secured to a concealed tenon plate with three supplied tamper-resistant 1/4-28 stainless steel hex socket set screws. The flanges are 3 inches in diameter and 11-gauge thick; the tenon plates are case-hardened, cadmium-plated 13-gauge steel.
Mounting and wall preparation
This is a surface-mounted bar with concealed flanges. Tenon plates attach to the wall with 1/4-inch bolts supplied by others; their elongated slots allow 1 inch of vertical and 3/16 inch of horizontal fitting adjustment. Provide suitable backing and anchoring in accordance with local building codes before finishing the wall. Anchors are available from ASI but must be specified separately.
Care
Clean regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then wipe with water and dry. Protect the stainless steel from muriatic acid, caustic or abrasive materials, and harsh detergents.
