ASI 0692-848 Surface-Mounted Stainless Steel Shelf, 8 x 48 Inches
The ASI 0692-848 is an 8-inch-deep by 48-inch-long wall- or partition-mounted shelf for wet (self-contained) or dry materials storage. It is fabricated from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish and a hemmed front edge specified for rigidity and safety.
Specifications and installation
- Dimensions: 8 inches deep x 48 inches long (203 x 1219 mm).
- Construction: 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.
- Mounting: surface-mounted through holes in the support brackets.
- Use #10 [M5] self-threading screws or other appropriate fasteners, supplied by others; provide adequate in-wall blocking or other reinforcement for the shelf and its intended load.
- ASI's installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards places the shelf top between 32 and 48 inches above finished floor; this is manufacturer guidance, not a compliance determination. Typical general-utility placement is 42 inches above finished floor or 18 inches above a washbasin.
