ASI 0692-830 Surface-Mounted Shelf
This shelf measures 8 inches deep by 30 inches long and is fabricated from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a #4 satin finish. Its hemmed front edge adds rigidity and safety. The manufacturer describes the shelf as suitable for wet (self-contained) or dry materials storage.
Mounting and placement
Mount to a wall or partition through the support-bracket holes using #10 self-threading screws or other appropriate fasteners; fasteners are by others. Provide adequate in-wall blocking or other reinforcement for the shelf and intended load. The manufacturer’s installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards specifies a shelf-top height of 32 to 48 inches above finished floor; typical general-utility placement is 42 inches above finished floor or 18 inches above a washbasin.
