ASI 0692-648 Surface-Mounted Stainless Steel Shelf, 6 x 48 Inches
This 6-inch-deep by 48-inch-long shelf is fabricated from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. Its hemmed front edge adds rigidity. ASI specifies the 0692 shelf for wet (self-contained) or dry materials storage.
Mounting and placement
The shelf surface-mounts to a wall or partition through holes in the support brackets. #10 [M5] self-threading screws or other appropriate fasteners are required and are supplied by others. Provide adequate in-wall blocking or other reinforcement for the shelf and its intended load. ASI's installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards places the shelf top between 32 and 48 inches above finished floor; this is manufacturer guidance, not a compliance determination.
