ASI 0620-1624 Chan-Lok Plate Glass Mirror, 16" W x 24" H
The ASI 0620-1624 is a surface-mounted, 16" x 24" plate-glass mirror distinguished by a one-piece satin-finish Type 304 stainless steel channel frame that encases the mirror and backing. Wall brackets and a theft-resistant locking screw secure the mirror.
Specifications
- Mirror: standard 1/4" plate/float glass, silver-coated and hermetically sealed; ASI warrants against silver spoilage for 15 years from the invoice date.
- Frame: 20-gauge Type 304 (18-8) stainless steel with a satin finish; the channel measures 1/2" x 5/8" (13 x 16 mm).
- Overall size: 16" (406 mm) wide x 24" (610 mm) high.
- Mounting: surface-mounted on wall brackets, with a theft-resistant locking screw at the bottom.
- Backing filler: 1/8" (3.2 mm) total-thickness expanded polyethylene microcell foam, described by ASI as abrasion-resistant, shock-absorbing, and water-resistant.
Installation guidance
Install the H wall brackets level and plumb using #8 or #10 pan-head screws (by others). ASI instructs installers to start the supplied #6-32 x 3/4" Phillips pan-head locking screw before hanging the mirror, then tighten it at the bottom. For installation intended to follow the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards and 2015 ABA Standards, ASI specifies that the bottom edge of the reflecting surface should be no higher than 40" (1016 mm) above the finished floor; this is manufacturer installation guidance, not a blanket compliance determination.
