The Sloan SF-2400 and SF-2450 Series electronic pedestal hand washing faucets operate by infrared sensor keeping sanitation and hygiene as a top priority in public restrooms. When the user enters the sensor's effective range, the solenoid activates the water flow. Tempered water flows from the faucet until the user steps away.

With no handles to turn or buttons to push, the Sloan SF-2400 and SF-2450 Series electronic pedestal hand washing faucets are a clear answer to combating the spread of germs throughout the public restroom. Sloan touch-less faucets should be installed in all public washrooms.

SF-Series faucets for tempered or hot/cold water delivery offer contemporary styling at an affordable price, while providing all the convenience and hygienic advantages of touch-free, sensor activation. Center-set, pedestal or goose-neck style SF-Series faucets are quick to install and are easy to clean, maintain and operate.

Expert Insight

Why We Recommend the Sloan SF-2450-4

The Sloan SF-2450-4 Electronic Pedestal Faucet (3362124) provides touch-free hand washing in a battery-powered, ADA-compliant commercial faucet. We often recommend this configuration for new installations and restroom upgrades where adding electrical wiring would be inconvenient. Its infrared sensor, chrome-plated brass construction, 4-inch trim plate, and 0.5 GPM SFP-13 multi-laminar spray head provide a practical balance of hygiene, water efficiency, and straightforward operation.

Best Applications

The SF-2450-4 is well suited for schools, offices, restaurants, retail stores, healthcare facilities, libraries, and other commercial restrooms with 4-inch centerset sinks. The adjustable sensor range helps accommodate different basin sizes and layouts, while the filtered solenoid valve and serviceable strainer support ongoing maintenance.

Quick Tip

Record the installation date and include the batteries in the restroom's preventive-maintenance schedule. Sloan estimates approximately two years of battery life at 8,000 cycles per month, but actual service life can vary with usage, sensor settings, battery quality, and operating conditions.

Common Question

Does the Sloan SF-2450-4 require a transformer or electrical outlet?
No. This configuration is battery powered and does not require a hardwired transformer or plug-in adapter. Confirm that the sink accepts the included 4-inch trim plate and determine how the tempered water supply will be provided before installation.
