ASI 0694-60 Shelf with Backsplash
This 5-inch-deep by 60-inch-long shelf is fabricated from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish on exposed surfaces. Its 1-inch hollow pan construction and raised backsplash are formed from one piece, on three sides. The manufacturer specifies the shelf for wet (self-contained) or dry materials storage.
Mounting and placement
Surface-mount to a wall or partition using #10 self-threading screws through the support-bracket holes; screws are by others. Secure mounting requires adequate wall reinforcement or stud structure. Manufacturer guidance for the 2010 Accessibility Standards specifies a shelf-top height of 32 to 48 inches above finished floor; typical utility placement is 42 inches above finished floor or 18 inches above a washbasin.
