Mounting and placement
Install through the support-bracket holes using #10 self-threading screws or other appropriate fasteners; fasteners are by others. Provide adequate in-wall blocking or other reinforcement for the shelf and its intended load. ASI’s installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards places the shelf top between 32 and 48 inches above the finished floor; this is manufacturer guidance, not a blanket compliance determination. ASI gives 42 inches above the finished floor, or 18 inches above a washbasin, as a typical general-utility height.
