ASI 0558-1 Recessed Bed Pan and Washbasin Cabinet
This recessed cabinet is made of 22-gauge Type 304 (18-8) stainless steel with a satin finish. It holds one conventional bedpan and one washbasin (both by others). The washbasin sits on the shelf and the bedpan on the cabinet bottom; stainless steel rods hold both in place. The double-pan door has a No-Flex core, a 3/16" heavy-duty stainless steel multi-staked piano hinge, and a magnetic catch. A 1/2" open space across the top and bottom of the door allows convection airflow.
Fit and installation
The cabinet measures 17-1/4" W x 30-1/2" H x 5" D. The minimum rough-wall opening is 15-3/4" W x 29" H x 5" D. Secure the recessed cabinet through its concealed mounting holes with #10 self-threading screws (by others). For manufacturer guidance under the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, install the unit so the top holder rod is no more than 48" above the finished floor.
