Maintaining a trap seal prevents objectionable sewer gases from escaping into the air. Each time the Sloan® Flushometer is activated, a small amount of water is diverted to the floor drain. The VBF-72-A uses a patented Water Deflector that carefully regulates the amount of water diverted to the drain. This makes the VBF-72-A specially suited for use with 1.28 gpf (4.8 Lpf) High Efficiency, 1.6 gpf (6.0 Lpf) Low Consumption and 3.5 gpf (13.2 Lpf) Water Saver Flushometers.
