Expert Insight
Why We Recommend the Sloan ETF-600-BOX-TEE
The Sloan ETF-600-BOX-TEE Smart Faucet (3365331BT) combines touch-free hand washing, efficient 0.5 GPM water delivery, and Bluetooth-enabled controls in a commercial-grade polished chrome fixture. We often recommend this 4-inch centerset model for high-use restrooms where permanent hardwired power is preferred over routine battery replacement. Its cast-brass spout, self-adapting infrared sensor, multi-laminar spray, quick-connect fittings, and integrated shutoff support dependable operation and convenient servicing.
Best Applications
The ETF-600-BOX-TEE is well suited for schools, healthcare facilities, office buildings, restaurants, retail stores, transportation facilities, and other busy commercial restrooms. Bluetooth connectivity allows compatible wireless settings adjustments and access to usage information through the Sloan Connect App, while on-demand or metered activation provides additional operating flexibility.
Quick Tip
Coordinate the box transformer and electrical pathway before completing the wall or sink installation. The transformer should remain accessible for future service while being protected from moisture. Also confirm the 4-inch centerset layout, water-supply arrangement, and back-check tee connections before the countertop or plumbing rough-in is finalized.
Common Question
Does the Sloan ETF-600-BOX-TEE operate on batteries?
No. This configuration is powered by a hardwired box transformer. Bluetooth provides wireless communication for compatible settings and reporting, but it does not supply operating power to the faucet. Projects that require battery operation should select the appropriate battery-powered ETF-600 configuration.
