ASI 3701-12W White Grab Bar
The ASI 3701-12W is a white powder-coated grab bar with a 1-1/4-inch-diameter Type 304 stainless steel tube. Snap-on flange covers conceal the mounting hardware.
Specifications
- Tube: 1-1/4-inch diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel.
- Finish: white epoxy powder coat on exposed surfaces.
- Snap-on cover: 21 gauge.
- Flange: 5/64 inch thick, with two 1/4-inch mounting holes on a 2-3/8-inch bolt circle.
Mounting requirements
Use the bar as a template to mark and pre-drill mounting holes. ASI specifies two No. 10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another suitable fastener system; fasteners are by others. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing the wall, based on site conditions and applicable requirements. ASI's installation guidance for ADA Accessibility Guidelines calls for the top of the grab bar to be 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor; this is manufacturer guidance, not a blanket compliance determination. Anchors are available from ASI and must be specified separately.
